My biggest self-inflicted annoyance is multi-tasking. What an oxymoron.

According to John Medina, a developmental molecular biologist and author of Brain Rules, the human brain is not capable of multi-tasking, but rather completes a tasks in a series. What we refer to as multi-tasking is more accurately the brain switching back and forth between operations quickly. During this rapid activity, however, we lose efficiency and focus.

Not to be competitive, but multi-tasking has it all over procrastination in the annoyance department. At least one can procrastinate efficiently!
